A FAMILY'S dream holiday to a luxury resort in Mexico has been ruined after they were booted out over a dispute with the hotel and the tour operator.
Gerard Brodrick and his wife, Natalie, from Riddrie in Glasgow, forked out £8000 for their two-week stay at Moon Palace in Cancun.
The couple, alongside their 11-year-old son, Lennon, opted for the plush getaway last year after previously missing a family holiday due to the coronavirus pandemic.
But when they arrived on June 5, they were told they weren't welcome at the hotel as they were informed that holiday provider TUI had "failed to pay" the resort for the family's stay.
Instead, they were transferred to another nearby hotel that cost half the price of their original booking. Gerard, 35, said: "It has ruined our whole holiday and left it in tatters.
