THOUSANDS of fans flocked to Scotland's biggest music festival yesterday as the summer finally made an appearance.
Temperatures soared as a sell-out 50,000-strong crowd arrived at Glasgow Green to catch some of their favourite acts at TRNSMT.
School leavers Libby Johnstone and Isla Hutton, both 18, from Hamilton, said: "We came to see The Snuts, Calvin Harris and Liam Gallagher.
"We were here last year and enjoyed it so much we had to come back." Paramedics James Hansford, 36, and Dan McTaggart, 29, from Portsmouth, arrived to catch Gerry Cinnamon on the main stage.
"The weather is amazing," Dan said. "This is a heatwave for Scotland, isn't it?" HR worker Leila Farrance and tech worker boyfriend Max Browning, both 26, travelled from London. Max said: "I'm half-Scottish so I've been seeing my family and seeing my gran. We love everyone on the lineup and we love Glasgow as well."
Leila said: "This is my second time in Glasgow and I love the city and the people who are so friendly."
Capital Radio's Fat Brestovci, 28, was in the audience to catch his former breakfast show co-host Tallia Storm on the River Stage.
Fat said: "I'm not exaggerating when I say it's one of the most anticipated events on my calendar.
"We've been talking about it for months on Capital.
