STEPHEN KINGSLEY believes the Europa League play-off gives Hearts the chance to right a few wrongs and bring back the feel-good factor at Tynecastle.

The Jambos head to Czech Republic for their European opener against Viktoria Plzen tomorrow.

Steven Naismith's side are guaranteed group-stage football for the second time in three seasons but want it to be in the Europa League rather than the Conference.

Kingsley knows that getting a result in the Doolan Arena would be the best response to the disappointing Premier Sports Cup exit to Falkirk at the weekend.

Kingsley said: "It is a great experience. It's something that, if you look at the last time out in the Conference League, we didn't really perform against the two big teams and we got a couple of great results against the team that we should be beating. But we want more.

"We've talked about what we want at the beginning of the season, our goals and our targets.

"We've certainly not started the way we wanted to start.

"We've got a chance to go over to Plzen and try to get it by the scruff of the neck and take control of what's going on. We can right the things that are wrong and bring back a bit of a feel-good factor because just now it's not where we want to be."

Hearts lost to FC Zurich at this stage two seasons ago then missed out on the Conference League groups a year ago when they lost to PAOK.
