TWO women who died in a fire at a block of flats were sisters in their 20s, it can be revealed.
The pair, named locally as Shikshya and Aanchal Subedi, were in the building on Back Hilton Road in Aberdeen when the blaze broke out at about 6 pm on Monday.
Neighbouring properties were evacuated and four other people were treated at the scene.
A baby was taken to hospital as a precaution but was later discharged. The tot is not understood to be related to either of the women.
Former Aberdeen Grammar School pupils Shikshya and Aanchal were described as "beautiful, kind and loving girls" by devastated family and friends after they were named in an online fundraiser.
They are survived by an older sister and their parents. Their pet cat also died in the fire.
