Dalby 24, played alongside former United and Scotland star Fletcher with the big-spending Welsh side last season.
He said: "Steven Fletcher said he'll come to watch a few games so hopefully we'll see him soon.
"Him coming into Wrexham last season was a big help for me.
"He gave me a lot of tips to improve my game because we spent a lot of time training together.
"He didn't tell me too much about Scottish football, he just told me to come up here and smash it." United have made an unbeaten start to life in the Premiership.
They sit third and aim to keep their run going against Rangers on Sunday.
