A FORMER Scots teacher accused of dozens of historic sexual abuse charges can be deported to the UK, a court in South Africa has ruled.
Iain Wares has been accused of abuse by dozens of former pupils of Edinburgh Academy and Fettes College - including broadcaster Nicky Campbell where he taught in the 1960s and 70s.
The High Court in Cape Town, where Wares lives, ruled he can be extradited to face trial in Scotland but the court's order now requires a decision from South Africa's justice minister.
