AN XL bully rescuer who has transported scores of the banned dogs to Scotland has come under fire after one of the animals was shot dead. 

Sammy Wilkinson, 29, told last month how he had relocated about 30 bullies after driving around the clock to get them to safety ahead of a ban in England. Animal lovers pledged almost £17,000 to help.

But one dog he rehomed – named Kilo – was gunned down by police in East Kilbride at the weekend, sparking a barrage of criticism from rescuers.
