GRAHAM POTTER admits managers could be caught in two minds about how successful they hope their players will be when they wave them off to the World Cup next week.

There are only eight days between the final at Qatar’s Lusail Stadium on December 18 and the Premier League restart on Boxing Day.

And players whose nations go deep in the tournament will almost certainly need some sort of break after it.

Those who come home when the group stage ends, however, will have at least three-and-a-half weeks to recover and in some cases more than a month.
