WAYNE PIVAC insists he will still be in charge for next year's Rugby World Cup after his side let slip a 21-point lead against a severely depleted Australia.

Wales looked home and dry at 34-13 with less than half an hour remaining but they imploded in spectacular fashion.

Following an embarrassing home defeat to Georgia a week earlier, the calls to remove Pivac have grown louder, the New Zealander having only won 13 of 34 Tests since succeeding Warren Gatland in 2019.

The hosts built up a commanding lead, outstanding with Jac openside Morgan crossing for two tries and Taulupe Faletau, on his 100th Test appearance, and Rio Dyer also touching down.

But sensational Australia wing Mark Nawaqanitawase sparked a comeback with two late tries before Lachlan Lonergan won it.
