After adding an individual medley gong to his stash of medals – now two gold and six silver – Scott moved level with cycling knight rider Sir Bradley Wiggins in Britain’s all-time list of multi-medallists.
Scott overtook fellow Scot Sir Chris Hoy, but the Alloa man modestly claims his numbers don’t add up to greatness.
He said: “I’m in a completely different bracket to those guys.
“They have come into the Olympics and absolutely dominated – Sir Jason Kenny, Sir Chris Hoy and the others.
“You guys can compare the medals by numbers, but don’t put me in comparison to these guys.
“They are people that have inspired me through my Olympic journeys.
