CAMPAIGNERS demanding were last night tax cuts on petrol as a full tank for a family car soared over £100 for the first time.
The exorbitant price is for a typical 55-litre tank - while some SUV owners are already forking out close to £200 to fill their motors.
Average prices for a litre of petrol at UK forecourts has reached a record 182.3p.
Campaigners are demanding a 40% cut in tax on petrol and the AA has called for a further 10p per litre cut in fuel duty.
