IVAN TONEY was last night handed a huge eight-month ban for breaking Football Association betting rules.
Brentford striker Toney (right) was also fined £50,000 as he admitted 232 breaches of the FA's strict rules on players and staff placing bets.
It is a huge blow to Toney's career, potentially wrecking his dream of a big-money move.
Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea were all watching developments and Brentford may have been willing to sell this summer because Toney, 27, only has two years left on his deal.
