CASTLEFORD v ST HELENS | 8pm
PAUL WELLENS has challenged his St Helens side to match the grit of relegationthreatened Castleford tonight.
Saints have won a record-breaking four successive Super League titles and in February beat NRL champions Penrith in the World Club Challenge.
They now travel to deepest West Yorkshire to face a Tigers side in the thick of a survival scrap but buoyed by a vital win at rivals Wakefield last Friday.
And Wellens, whose defending champions are still in contention to finish top, said: “We’re under pressure every week to perform because playing for this club carries an expectation and we understand that.
“We turn up every week with that pressure, but Castleford are certainly under a different type of pressure and that’s based on survival.
