JACK ‘The Joker’ Hermansson may have plenty to smile about – but the fact that he cannot fight in his adopted homeland is no laughing matter.
Hermansson, who proudly represents both Sweden (the country of his birth) and Norway (where he now resides), returned after over a year out at UFC Vegas 86 to derail the hype train surrounding Joe Pyfer.
The No.11-ranked middleweight was the underdog with the bookies but used all his experience to gain a unanimous points victory, all three judges scoring it 48-47 after five entertaining rounds.
However, the Scandinavian feels it is scandalous that MMA is banned in Norway and used his winning platform to again call for change.
