RONALD KOEMAN says it has been a long week in the Holland camp and Cody Gakpo seems to have spent it all researching Romania.
The Dutch are back in action today having had a full seven days to reflect upon their 3-2 defeat to Austria which left them needing to qualify for the last 16 as one of the best third-placed sides.
In truth, they appear to have landed on their feet having been dropped into what looks to be the kinder half of the draw, and they will take on a Romania side who won Group E despite having the exact same record as their Munich opponents one win, one draw, one defeat.
Liverpool forward Gakpo has been using his time off wisely, though, and he is in no doubt about Romania's quality and their key players having studied them closely.
