THE worried nation last night rallied around King Charles after it was revealed he is battling cancer.
The monarch shared the shocking news of his diagnosis and immediate medical treatment.
He wanted to make it public “to assist understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer”.
And the upbeat Royal told aides he is looking forward to getting back to work as soon as possible and will carry on working behind the scenes.
He received support from wellwishers across the globe.
Prince Harry was looking to jet home from America as early as last night to be by his father’s side.
A source close to the Duke of Sussex said he has spoken to the King about his diagnosis and will travel to the UK to see him “in the coming days”.
Discovery
Doctors discovered the cancer during the King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement.
They found a “separate issue of concern” and carried out tests that “identified a form of cancer”.
