GLENN says: "Not only that I nearly went and that it led to a quadruple bypass operation, but asking myself 'how has this happened?""
In a TV studio at the time, his life was saved thanks to quick-thinking employee Simon Daniels, inset right, who did CPR.
Former Spurs, Monaco and Chelsea midfielder Glenn says: "I was gone for several minutes and if it wasn't for Simon keeping me going, I wouldn't be here now.
"For a long time, I've believed that we live on, that part of us inside lives on. But since the cardiac arrest I can understand that every second is precious.
"It's been magnified for me. The time I've got now with my grandchildren, family and friends they're the most important thing." Glenn noticed there were few symptoms before his heart suddenly stopped, "no sweats, no dizziness -
just a bit of fatigue". But he believes a blood pressure test might have helped.
He says: "If I had my blood pressure taken a couple of months before, possibly, they might have detected something.
