I FEAR my man is in the throes of a mid-life crisis.
I don’t recognise him anymore. He’s moody and distant.
He’s spending money on leather jackets, piercings and a motorbike.
He is working long (odd) hours and coming and going like a sulky teenager. I try and ask him about his life and get one-word answers. I deserve better.
We’ve been together for many years. I nursed him through a serious illness in 2019 and once paid off £12,000 in debts when a business venture went wrong.
Yet he’s treating me like a nuisance, and I don’t like it. A friend of his runs a garage out of town and he now spends any spare time, over there, tinkering with cars and bikes. Well, that’s what he tells me he does.
