Lock Itoje will make his 85th England appearance, taking him past the 84 clocked up by 2003 World Cup-winning skipper Jonno (below) when he lines up against New Zealand this weekend.
The pair have both won Premiership titles, European Cups and Six Nations Grand Slams but Itoje has never won the ultimate prize as Johnson did in Sydney 21 years ago.
Johnson was also part of an England side that won 12 games on the spin, home and away, against the southern hemisphere big three between June 2000 and November 2003.
