TYRONE MINGS could be forgiven for feeling as sick as a parrot after the roller coaster he's been on.
But, instead, the Aston Villa star is as high as a kite following his shock return to the top of his game.
Mings started the campaign back in August in a dark place, after losing the Villa captaincy and his spot in the team for the opening game at Bournemouth following a bust-up with then boss Steven Gerrard.
Mings admitted it was a huge wake-up call because he had been coasting too much. And it was one he managed to learn from.
The defender battled back to get in the side, then started to thrive under Unai Emery, who replaced Gerrard in October.
Mings went from strength to strength to produce some of the best football of his career to help Villa secure a place in Europe.
And with this came a recall to the England squad for the first time since March 2022.
