PEP GUARDIOLA reckons he will be labelled an underachiever even if he wins a Champions League with Manchester City – so is determined to just enjoy the ride.
The City boss said he can never meet the high expectations placed on him after a managerial career that has ticked almost every box.
And ahead of his side’s last 16 first leg against RB Leipzig in Germany tonight, he said he has long since reconciled himself to getting everything he can from the best club tournament in football.
“Just being here is a privilege and I’ve always had that feeling,” said Guardiola. “Of course this is a nice competition. We take a plane, we dress beautiful to fly and go to Europe to show our football, our game.
“After this we have good wine and dinner, watch Liverpool, Madrid, Napoli and then prepare.
