JOHN STONES is on a mission to take out his frustrations on Greece in a bid to get his season up and running.
Because running is what the Manchester City defender feels like he hasn't been able to do enough of for most of this campaign and even the one before it.
Stones might have been the bedrock of the England team which reached the final of Euro 2024 this summer under Gareth Southgate.
But when it comes to his club, the defender is the stone Pep Guardiola has been reluctant to roll out onto the pitch.
In the last 17 months, Stones has started just 13 Premier League games.
His problems appear to stem back to March, when he got himself injured while playing for the Three Lions against Belgium at Wembley.
