For more than a century, the London- based company’s “Avon Ladies” have sold its beauty products through doorto-door and home selling. But it will now open a series of beauty outlets over the next two months, which will be run as franchises by its representatives.
Angela Cretu, global chief executive of Avon International, said the expansion into physical stores was being made as 80 per cent of beauty purchases take place through retail.
