Pressure has been growing on 76-yearold Hodgson after a run of four wins in 18 Premier League matches and it now seems only a matter of time before he is sacked.
Talks are under way over who will replace Hodgson, and Palace have turned to Glasner after Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna ruled out a move away from the Championship promotion-chasers.
Glasner has been out of work since leaving Frankfurt at the end of last season. The 49-year-old Austrian led Frankfurt to Europa League glory in 2022, after they beat West Ham in the semi-finals, and also got them to the German Cup Final in 2023.
Talks between Palace and Glasner were continuing today over the terms of a deal. It was unclear this morning whether Hodgson will still be in charge when Palace play Everton at Goodison Park on Monday.
