Teen star Littler unfazed ahead of 'big boys' league' debut

And last year's world champion Michael Smith summed it up succinctly: "There's only one name on people's lips and it's not mine." Luke Littler makes his first competitive outing on British soil since his fairytale run to the World Championship Final tonight on the first day of the Premier League Darts in Cardiff.

Having turned 17 since that life-changing tournament, Littler is still every bit the teenager in conversation. Asked what he would be doing if not here - he answered sleeping. Questioned on his biggest spend since pocketing £200,000 at the Worlds, he said buying credits on his FIFA computer game.

And yet on the oche, he seems infinitely older than his years and, since Ally Pally, he has won one tournament, finished runner-up in another and hit a televised nine-darter.
