PALESTINIAN gunmen staged a deadly attack on commuters in Jerusalem today, hours after Israel extended a temporary ceasefire in Gaza for a seventh day.
The gunmen killed at least three people and wounded eight others when they opened fire at a bus stop during the morning rush hour, Israeli police said. The attackers came from east Jerusalem and were shot dead by “regular people on the street”, the divided city’s deputy mayor Fleur Hassan-Nahoum said. The fatalities included a woman in her sixties and a man in his seventies, she said. It came a day after two Palestinian boys, aged eight and 14, were shot and killed during an Israeli army raid in the West Bank city of Jenin.
