AMERICA and Britain need to respond at "pace" to Vladimir Putin's increased targeting of civilian infrastructure in Ukraine including with "kamikaze" drones, a Cabinet minister said today.
Foreign Secretary James Cleverly stressed the "urgency" of the situation after Defence Secretary Ben Wallace held emergency talks in Washington over the Russian president's wave of attacks on electricity plants in the war-ravaged country as winter approaches.
Mr Wallace flew to the US for the high-level conversations at the White House and Pentagon amid concerns that Putin could resort to a nuclear attack if his forces suffer more military setbacks. Mr Cleverly insisted the talks in Washington were a "normal and regular part of what is a very abnormal and perverse situation".
