Making digital work for women

DIGITAL PAYMENTS WORLDWIDE have transformed economies, and India stands at the forefront of this change. This has been most evident in advancing financial inclusion, especially among women entrepreneurs in India. Managing finances effectively and accessing financial services has been an arduous challenge for women, especially those running small-scale enterprises.

Amidst this, the UPI (unified payments interface) has been a formidable force in empowering women-led businesses. Offering a simple and efficient method of handling transactions, UPI and other digital payment platforms have not just helped fortify business growth but also propelled financial management. However, to have a genuine impact, there is a strong need for enhanced inclusivity for women, especially from the lower-income groups.
