The funding proposal and plan prepared by MCG has been sent to the Central Pollution Control Board for approval, they added.
According to the MCG, the Central Pollution Control Board provides gap funding support for checking pollution and it has proposed to allocate ₹34.9 crore during 2024-25 through the Haryana State Pollution Control Board and thereafter performance-based grants (based on reduction in PM10) will be released every year for the next four years.
The proposal prepared by MCG under the city action plan to reduce pollution has stipulated setting up four charging stations in Gurugram and Sohna each for electric vehicles.
