Speaking as the chief guest at the Kumbh Conclave organized by Hindustan newspaper at the Allahabad Medical Association (AMA) auditorium, Maurya shared his experiences, mentioning that he had worked as the organization secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) for a long time.
