GDA eyes over 400ha land for housing project
Hindustan Times Noida|December 15, 2024
The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) is planning to procure 462 hectares of land for its ambitious Harnandipuram housing scheme, which will be developed across eight villages near Delhi Meerut Road, officials said on Saturday.
Peeyush Khandelwal

GHAZIABAD: The project will cover a total area of 520 hectares, making it the authority's first large-scale housing scheme in 20 years, following Madhuban Bapudham, they added.

Instructions have been issued to a committee comprising officials from the GDA and district administration to analyse the market rates of the land and finalise the purchase price. "Of the 520 hectares, 462 hectares are proposed to be directly purchased from farmers, as it is the fastest way to procure land in comparison to the process under land acquisition," said Atul Vats, vice-chairperson of GDA.
