Pinku Yadav alias Tinku Yadav, younger brother of RJD MLA Ritlal Yadav, wanted by Bihar police on the charges of firing and murderous attack on the AIIMS chief security officer (CSO) on Thursday surrendered before Danapur court fearing arrest and attachment of his property.

PATNA: The Danapur court had already declared him an absconder.

On August 22, motorcycle-borne assailants had fired on an SUV in which Premnath, CSO of AIIMS was travelling to his office near the end of AIIMS-Digha fly-over under Khagaul police station in Patna. Premnath had received a threat call four days earlier from a man who identified himself as Pinku Yadav. The caller demanded that some of their men be recruited as security guards at AIIMS-Patna. Yadav was pressuring him to employ his guards, warning of severe consequences if he did not comply. Then an FIR was lodged against Pinku with the Khagaul police station on the basis of the statement of Premnath under sections of BNS ACT and Arms Act.
