3k Tourists Reach Auli After Fresh Snow Spell

To manage traffic on Joshimath-Auli road and reduce congestion, a new traffic plan has been implemented for tourists

MUSSOORIE: Around 3,000 tourists reached winter ski resort Auli after fresh snowfall on Tuesday.

Ajay Bhat, ski trainer from Jyotirmath said, "With the fresh spell of snow, an unprecedented number of tourists reached Auli." Hasmukh Bhai, a tourist from Baroda said, "We wanted to celebrate new year in the snow and Auli was a perfect spot where we were able to enjoy the winter sports activities."

The district administration Chamoli is anticipating a huge tourist rush for Auli New Year celebrations and to manage the influx on the Joshimath-Auli road and to mitigate traffic congestion, it implemented a new traffic plan where tourists were not allowed to take their vehicles directly to Auli and instead were directed to park them at Ravi-gram in Joshimath.
