Addressing the closing ceremony of the two-day summit, Shah said India has grown exponentially on every front over the past one decade due to the farsighted and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "In the 75 years since India's Independence, our economy has never taken such a big leap forward like it has between 2014 and 2023. In the last ten years, we have come from 11 to fifth place among the world's biggest economies... 13.5 crore (135 million) people have come out of the poverty line. Per capita income has doubled... The number of unicorn startups has multiplied. The way India organised the G20 was appreciated all over the world," he said.
