Punjab Police arrested on Monday a 43-yearold man who allegedly murdered 11 people over the last 18 months across three districts.

Rupnagar district police chief Gulneet Khurana said the accused, Ram Saroop, was a sex worker and was involved in the deaths of 11 victims - all men across Rupnagar, Fatehgarh Sahib and Hoshiarpur districts.

Police said the accused was arrested in connection with the murder of a toll plaza worker at Kiratpur Sahib in Rupnagar district in August.
