NIRMALA, DMK GOVT SPAR OVER CLAIM OF TEMPLE TELECAST 'BAN'

A political slugfest erupted in Tamil Nadu on Sunday after Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman accused the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) of "stopping" temples in the state from organising special events to commemorate the consecration ceremony at the Ram Temple on Monday. The state government, however, dismissed the allegation and hit back at the minister for "propagating this erroneous information".
