Police on Sunday used water cannons and mild force to disperse protesters demanding the cancellation of the 70th Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) preliminary exams at the Gandhi Maidan in Patna, officers said.

The protesters, demanding a re-examination of the BPSC prelims held on December 13, who were joined by former political strategist and Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor at the iconic Gandhi Maidan earlier in the day, attempted to march towards the chief minister's residence in the evening, district magistrate Chandrashekhar Singh said.
