COPS SAY DEATH NOT SUSPICIOUS

The singer was found dead in her London penthouse on Wednesday morning by Met Officers.

Sinead had just moved into the €3,500-a-month property after relocating from Dublin and had shown it off to fans days earlier.

Mystery still surrounds how the 56-year-old star died and the Coroner said it will be weeks before they can determine what happened.

But Met Police officers have stressed her death is not being treated as suspicious.

A statement on London Inner South Coroner’s Court website said: “No medical cause of death was given. The Coroner therefore directed an autopsy to be conducted. The results of this may not be available for several weeks.

“The decision whether an inquest will be needed will be decided when these results are known, and submissions have been heard from the family.

“If an inquest is to be opened, the date of the brief public hearing will be provided on our website.”

Scotland Yard has confirmed the singer died in the UK capital.

A Met Police spokesman said: “Police were called at 11.18am on Wednesday, July 26 to reports of an unresponsive woman at a residential address in the SE24 area.
