BAND of Brothers and Homeland star Damian Lewis has signed a record deal and releases his debut single today.
His first solo album Mission Creep will be out this summer on Decca Records following a huge bidding war between the major labels.
The 52-year-old British actor has written a collection of “poetic, poignant and deeply personal” songs. It follows the death of his wife of 14 years, the Peaky Blinders star Helen McCrory in 2021 from breast cancer.
He tells the Mirror: “It encompasses many life experiences, and won’t take Sherlock Holmes to work out what some of those are.”
The actor released his romantic ballad Down on the Bowery, which was written in New York, today.
