MUSIC legend Shane MacGowan appeared frail as he was visited in hospital by folk great Moya Brennan.
The former Pogues frontman, 65, who has a history of alcohol abuse, was admitted last month with a mystery illness. He was treated for viral encephalitis last December.
After Clannad star Moya MacGowan called to see his wife, Victoria Mary Clarke, said visitors have raised their spirits during the hospital stay.
Sharing a picture of MacGowan with Moya, she wrote on X: "We are getting some really nice visitors and it's a great boost for the morale."
A host of famous faces have visited the Fairytale Of New York hitmaker since he was admitted to hospital. Dubliner Imelda May was among the first to see the songwriter.
