ED Sheeran yesterday told of his joy after a US jury ruled he did not copy part of a Marvin Gaye hit on his Thinking Out Loud track.
The singer had been sued by the family of Ed Townsend who co-wrote the 1973 soul classic Let’s Get It On.
They claimed musical progressions in Sheeran’s hit bore “striking similarities” to Gaye’s version.
