A GARDA is to be prosecuted over his role in a car chase crash in which three people were killed.
Dublin District Coroner's Court heard yesterday the officer will be charged with a driving offence over the pursuit on Dublin's N7 two years ago.
The three victims in the smash were members of a Tallaght-based crime gang who specialised in burglaries.
Dean Maguire, 29, Karl Freeman, 26, and 31-year-old Graham Taylor died when their BMW burst into flames after a head-on collision with a truck.
They had been on the wrong side of the carriageway between Citywest and Baldonnel on July 7, 2021.
