JUSTICE Minister Simon Harris has warned those involved in the Regency murder that they can run and try to hide, but gardai will "never stop pursuing and dismantling the gangs causing fear and murder across this country"

He made the comments days after Gerry 'The Monk' Hutch was acquitted of the murder of David Byrne in the Regency Hotel in February 2016.

The three judges in the Special Criminal Court ruled testimony provided by former Sinn Fein councillor Jonathan Dowdall was not reliable.

He had alleged Mr Hutch was one of the shooters that took aim Mr Byrne.

Hutch's co-accused, Jason Bonney and Paul Murphy, were found guilty of providing a motor vehicle to a criminal organisation with knowledge or having been reckless as to whether those actions could facilitate a serious offence by the organisation.
