YOUTH farming group Macra is looking for 800 welly tossers to set a new world record at the Ploughing Championships.
It comes as organisers warned those attending to bring their own water boots after heavy rain left the Co Laois site a muddy mess.
A Macra spokesperson said: "We have set its sights on the lofty goal of breaking the Guinness World Record for most persons simultaneously throwing Wellington boots.
"The attempt will be carefully orchestrated and will adhere to all Guinness World Records guidelines, ensuring a fair and transparent process.
"The current record for most people simultaneously throwing Wellington boots stands at 792.
"This was registered at The Holsworthy and Stratton Show in Holsworthy, [near Exeter, England], on August 23, 2018.
