THE devastated mum of a boy killed with his father in a horror accident on holiday has fought back tears to pay tribute to him.
Claire Dowling told the Irish Mirror yesterday: "He was the kindest, kindest person.
She dashed to Turkey following the death of her son Dylan, 10, and his father Eoin Fitzpatrick in a road smash in a tourist resort.
Ms Dowling spoke exclusively as she headed to comfort her son Cian, 14, who was with his dad and brother when the tragedy happened in Alanya.
Dylan and his 36-year-old father died when the moped they were driving was struck by a bus at around 3.30pm on Monday.
They were killed hours before the family was due to end their holiday and fly back home to Portlaoise in Co Laois yesterday morning.
Cian, who is a talented GAA player, was with Mr Fitzpatrick's partner and her kids, and did not witness the horror accident.
Ms Dowling, who lives in the Clonroosk Abbey estate in Portlaoise, rushed to Dublin airport to get a flight to Turkey.
ACCIDENT
But she spoke to the Irish Mirror en route to the western coastal town where the accident happened to pay tribute to her child.
She said: "I haven't even gotten to Turkey to see my boy or his father. Nobody has told me anything.
