The Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates has brought out new rules to combat money laundering and terror financing.
Proper records must now be kept of every banking transaction in the Gulf states.
The new financial laws will come into effect in a month's time.
The UAE Central Bank said they will apply to every licensed financial institution in the region.
