PEAMOUNT V WEXFORD YTHS
PRL Park: Saturday, 2pm
WHEREVER Wexford finish in the final group shake-up tomorrow, Maeve Williams is grateful that the Avenir Sports All-Island Cup provided the chance for a re-set.
The Youths goalkeeper is still confused at how the first half of the WPD went for a team used to competing at the top of the table so quickly fell into a slump.
The shock of the 5-0 defeat to reigning champions Shelbourne in the last game before the mid-season break forced matters to a head.
"Look, that was definitely a big blow for us, really disappointing" said Williams. "When games like that happen they make you re-evaluate things.
"It wasn't a good way to finish before the break but you have to look for positives and what we took from it was there were loads of areas where we had to improve.
