LACK of Garda resources is leading to the delay in implementing a new policing model.
It was to be brought into the border region in Cavan, Monaghan and Louth - but it has been temporarily halted after the Association of Superintendents outlined concerns in a letter to HQ over staffing shortages.
It would have seen cops diverted from frontline duties and less superintendents involved in active policing.
