A promising second to Caught U Looking on his debut in a Leopardstown maiden, Stromberg was sent off a red-hot 1/5 shot for a weak auction series maiden on the final day of the Galway festival and, although he looked in trouble briefly as the field started the climb to the straight, he picked-up impressively.

Up the straight, the Iffraaj colt lengthened in great style and forged clear to beat Apollo Prince by ten lengths.
