FOLK legends The Wolfe Tones have urged their fans to sing their heads off after they were added to the Electric Picnic line-up.
The outspoken balladeers will be On The One Road to Stradbally in September as they bring their unique brand of rebel songs to the sold-out festival.
The band’s warbler Brian Warfield yesterday confirmed that they will be sharing the stage with the likes of Billie Eilish and Niall Horan.
The Wolfe Tones tweeted: “It’s official! The Wolfe Tones will appear at this year’s Electric Picnic on September 3rd, Stradbally, Co Laois!
“It’s going to be an EP23 like no other, Let The People Sing!”
It comes after The Wolfe Tones song, Celtic Symphony, hit the headlines last year when the Ireland women’s football team were filmed singing it’s “ooh, ah, up the RA” chorus in their dressing room.
